About the Foundation
Built by the Community. For the Community.
The Laguna Hills Baseball Development Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to developing youth baseball players — and the character that carries them beyond the field.
Our Story
It started with one team.
The Laguna Hills Baseball Development Foundation was born out of a simple belief: that youth baseball in our community deserved better. Better coaching, better structure, and a real commitment to developing players the right way — from the ground up.
We launched with a single 10U travel team and a volunteer-run board of parents, coaches, and community members who believed in the mission. Every practice, every tournament, every conversation with a player has reinforced why we started.
We're not just building baseball players. We're building young people who know how to compete, how to fail, how to get back up, and how to show up for their teammates. That's what this foundation is about.
Mission & Vision
Why we exist.
To elevate youth baseball in Laguna Hills by providing high-quality instruction, accessible programming, and a development environment that builds complete players — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
A full youth development pipeline from T-Ball through high school prep, rooted in Laguna Hills, that removes barriers to participation and creates lasting opportunity for every athlete who wants to play.
What We Stand For
Our core values.
Development Over Winning
We measure success by how much a player grows — not just the scoreboard. Every rep, every drill, every conversation is in service of long-term development.
Accessibility
Baseball should be available to every kid who wants to play. We work to remove financial and logistical barriers so that opportunity isn't limited by circumstance.
Character First
We coach the whole person. Accountability, resilience, respect, and teamwork are taught on the field and expected off it.
Community Roots
We exist to serve Laguna Hills. Our coaches, families, and volunteers are neighbors — and that shared investment shows in everything we do.
High Standards
We hold ourselves to a high standard in coaching quality, player communication, and organizational integrity. Families trust us with their kids — we take that seriously.
Long-Term Thinking
We're building something that lasts. Every decision we make is with future players and future families in mind — not just this season.
Who We Are
Volunteer-run. Community-driven.
The foundation is led by a board of volunteers — parents, coaches, and community members who give their time because they believe in what we're building. There are no salaries here. Every dollar raised goes back into the programs.
